  • The dough is glued on the back of the person with water to make it leak proof.
  • After placement of the dough, lukewarm medicated oil is poured into the ring.
  • It is ensured that the oil placed is evenly hot during the whole process. It is replaced with the warm oil when it cools down.
  • In the end, dough is removed and a gentle massage is given over the affected area.
  • The patient is asked to take rest for some time.
  • It takes a time period of 40 to 60 minutes to complete Kativasthi treatment.
