Rajaratnam vaidyar was nominated with Bhishak Ratna award, he is the 1st ayurvedic physician in Calicut to be honored with this award from the Corporation of Calicut in 2009 for his prominence in Ayurveda.
He started learning about Ayurveda from his father and his Sanskrit training began at the age of 8 for which he had to travel 50 km daily. He started treating patients since the age of 17 years and now he is guiding SSANH to be the best hospital in Kerala. All in-house medicines at SSANH are prepared under his supervision and guidance.
Dr. Sanand (M.D. Ay), a scholar of Rasashastra possesses in-depth knowledge of different herbs and ayurvedic formulation. He started learning Sanskrit at the age of 8 years in order to improve his understanding and translation of Ayurveda textbooks available in Sanskrit.
Dr. Sanand is constantly learning about medicine formulation used for treatment of chronic ailments from vaidya’s belonging to various parts of the country. Practical application of classical Ayurveda and the urge to constantly improve, helps him treat and understand his patients better every day.

These in-house medicines are made using the formulations written on palm leaf manuscripts collected from various traditional vaidya’s and are perfected over a time period of 400 years.

Patients stay with us for 14, 21, or even 45 days depending on the duration of their treatment. Sree Subramania ayurvedic nursing home is an Ayurveda hospital but we always try to create a homely environment so that our patients do not feel like they are in a hospital. It is our duty to provide a homely environment so that the patients feel comfortable away from their families.
