A female patient aged 29 came to our hospital seeking medical attention for her back pain. At the time of detailed history taking, she mentioned the radiation of pain from the back to the lower abdomen which was intermittent in nature, and a mild burning sensation during urination for a couple of months. It was observed that she had a tendency to consume minimal amounts of water. Subsequent physical examination revealed Tenderness in the right lower abdomen and Dr.Sanand advised her to take a USG -ABDOMEN AND PELVIS. The scan confirmed the presence of a 7.5mm urinary stone in the right kidney. Then she took Ayurvedic medicine continuously for about 3 months along with strict dietary restrictions. Then the issue was completely resolved and the recent USG ABDOMEN & PELVIS revealed normal results.

What is urinary calculi?
Kidney stones, also known as urinary calculi, are a urological condition that causes pain and discomfort for millions of people worldwide. Urine contains various solutes dissolved in water. The concentration of urine changes depending on the amount of water and solutes. Stones form in the kidneys when urine becomes concentrated and minerals crystallize and stick together. Dietary and lifestyle changes represent an important strategy for the prevention of kidney stone recurrences.

Patient Review
I am delighted to share that the pain I have been suffering has been successfully alleviated. For a long time, I thought it was just a part of my back pain. I am grateful for the precise intervention of Dr Sanand, which allowed me to become aware of the presence of a stone at the right time. Upon learning of its large size, I was concerned that surgery might be necessary for its removal. However, Dr. Sanand reassured me that Ayurvedic internal medication alone could provide a complete cure for my condition. Thanks to his expertise and guidance, I was able to avoid the risks and discomfort associated with surgery and achieve a full recovery. It is reassuring to know that we have access to such competent medical professionals who can provide us with the care we need.
